VIN tag

In 1967 the VIN (Vehicle Identification number) tag is attached to the drivers side front door pillar (near hinges) and indicates the following:

 

Section A shows the GM division. 1 is for Chevrolet

Section B shows the model. 2 is for the Camaro Sport Coupe

Section C indicates 6 or 8 cylinder. 3 indicates 6 cylinder and 4 indicates 8 cylinder

Section D shows body style. 37 show it is a coupe and 67 indicates convertable.

Section E indicates model year. 7 is for 1967

Section F indicates which plant the car was built at. N=Norwood, L=Los Angeles

Section G (or the remaining numbers) are the sequential identification number.
