Owners: Jon & Rachel Mello, Santa Barbara, California

This Z-28 is unrestored and still in great shape. It has it's original drivetrain, paint and interior and was purchased from the original owner. The color scheme is the only known one of its kind for a '67 Z-28, Mountain Green with a gold interior.

The car was purchased with the intent to go racing but those plans were never realized. It has remained a street car its whole life. It was originally purchased from Mustang Chevrolet in San Angelo, Texas on 7/31/67.

Showing off the racing intent of the car, the car is devoid of a radio or heater. Note that this car has the very rare shoulder belt option. Only 477 cars were equipped with these belts (RPO AS1).

A look under the hood. Notice the factory headers and the cowl plenum air cleaner which ducts cold air to the carburetor. These were both ordered with the car and delivered in the trunk to be installed by the dealership or owner. The car was also ordered with J56 HD metallic brakes. K76 HD 61-amp alternator and T60 HD battery.
