This is an un-restored original N34 "wood grained plastic" steering wheel. You can see from the photos below, these wheels were far from perfect when new. These are highly desirable add-ons for 67-68 Camaro's and may bring several hundred dollars in good condition. Average cost to restore a cracked original is about $150.00.

Here you can seen the original grain and "seam" that runs around the perimeter of the wheel.

This shot shows some original cracks in the base simulated wood. I have been told by wheel restoration shops, that these same cracks are usually where the wheel will ultimately crack completely through. The  wheel will usually crack in two or three spots perpendicularly around the wheel.
