Undercarriage and Suspension (1967 Z28)

These are some shots from an nearly untouched  1967 Z28. Jon Mello owns this low mileage 1967 Z28 which is an awesome car and probably  the best example to document available.

Even the nicest low mileage cars have usually been "freshened" up over the years and lose some of their originality and for obvious reasons can not be documented accurately. Not the case with this car. Jon has done everything possible to maintain all of this cars originality. Way to go Jon !

This is a typical shot of the floor pan on an original car. Note the over spray and drips. You can see similar drips on the authors project.

Nice shot of original brake assembly. Look at those pads !! Ultra rare J56 Metallic brakes.

This is a great example of rear fender well undercoating and over spray. The undercoating is heavy and the over spray has made it all the way to the uni-body frame rail. Note the original shock.
